- Compile pertinent property-specific market data
- Analyze data to determine appropriate value and assessment range of client property
- Determine methodology utilized by assessor to establish value
- Analyze assessments of comparable property
- Determine appropriate assessment range of client property
Informal Negotiation
- Make presentation to assessing authority and negotiate to achieve appropriate assessed value
Formal Appeal
- Prepare and file all required appeal documentation with the appropriate appraisal review board in a timely manner
- Present case before appraisal review board
- Advise client of hearing result and recommend the feasibility of pursuing additional relief
Litigation/Binding Arbitration
- Assist in selection of attorney
- Assist in selection of MAI appraiser, if necessary
- Assist attorney in management of lawsuit
- Present case during pre-trial resolution meeting
- Provide expert witness testimony during trial (many of our representatives are qualified as an expert witness in District and Federal Court)
- Assistance in obtaining client’s tax refund after successful resolution
- Coordinate and represent owner in arbitration hearing
