  • Compile pertinent property-specific market data
  • Analyze data to determine appropriate value and assessment range of client property
  • Determine methodology utilized by assessor to establish value
  • Analyze assessments of comparable property
  • Determine appropriate assessment range of client property

Informal Negotiation

  • Make presentation to assessing authority and negotiate to achieve appropriate assessed value

Formal Appeal

  • Prepare and file all required appeal documentation with the appropriate appraisal review board in a timely manner
  • Present case before appraisal review board
  • Advise client of hearing result and recommend the feasibility of pursuing additional relief

Litigation/Binding Arbitration

  • Assist in selection of attorney
  • Assist in selection of MAI appraiser, if necessary
  • Assist attorney in management of lawsuit
  • Present case during pre-trial resolution meeting
  • Provide expert witness testimony during trial (many of our representatives are qualified as an expert witness in District and Federal Court)
  • Assistance in obtaining client’s tax refund after successful resolution
  • Coordinate and represent owner in arbitration hearing
